Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Melanie Boyd, RDH, is a dedicated and skilled dental hygienist with over 14 years of experience in General Dentistry, Pediatric, and Periodontal care. She holds a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Troy University in Alabama and a Dental Hygiene degree from Gulf Coast State College. As the founder of New Wave Perio, Melanie specializes in advanced periodontal therapy utilizing the Periodontal Endoscope. In addition to providing clinical care, she offers endoscope business consulting and hands-on endoscope training for dental professionals seeking to integrate this technology into their practices. Melanie is actively involved in advancing the profession of dental hygiene and currently serves as a board member of the Lone Star Dental Hygiene Society and Vice President of the Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists’ Association. She is deeply committed to elevating the role of hygienists, supporting professional growth, and strengthening the dental community through education and collaboration.
