Maryfrances Cummings is a faculty member at The Community College of Philadelphia. She holds a B.S. from Thomas Jefferson University and a Master's in Public Health from West Chester University. Her extensive career in dental hygiene includes clinical practice, and her interest in education and public health developed during her time at Thomas Jefferson University. She has taught clinical dental hygiene, local anesthesia, periodontics, and public health in both dental hygiene and dental school programs. Additionally, she served as a certified school dental hygienist in Pennsylvania for over 20 years and was a faculty leader for health care interns with the Bridging the Gaps health internship program in Philadelphia. She is consultant member of the American Board of Dental Examiners.
