Kayla Rains is a dedicated dental hygienist with over a decade of experience in the field. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Louisville in 2013 and has since been committed to advancing the profession through both clinical care and leadership.
Throughout her career, Kayla has worked in both private practice and the DSO setting, joining Mortenson Dental Partners in 2015. She has provided care to diverse patient populations and practiced both traditional and fully assisted hygiene, gaining a well-rounded perspective on different clinical models.
Beyond patient care, she has been actively involved in the Kentucky Dental Hygienists’ Association, serving in multiple capacities, including as president from 2018 to 2020. Her passion for supporting fellow hygienists led her to transition into recruitment, and in 2023, she became the national hygiene recruiter for Mortenson Dental Partners.
With her unique blend of clinical expertise and industry insight, Kayla is excited to be joined by a panel of other MDP team members to share their experiences and help debunk common misconceptions about working in a DSO.
