Azka Zafar, RDH, is Tend’s Hygiene Training Manager. She is a New York City Native, and has
been in dentistry for 20 years. It started as way to learn about her smile and help pay for
braces. She has played multiple roles in the dental office including dental assistant,
insurance biller, office manager. Here at Tend, she joined as a Dental Hygienist when we
started in 2019. Azka progressed into a Lead Hygienist/ Treatment Coordinator position and is
now the Hygiene Training Manager. Azka’s role involves training the clinical team on
protocols, instrumentation, workflows, time management and the goals for the future
include growing our team/ our profession and creating leaders!
