Kathryn Gilliam, BA, RDH, MAAOSH, HIAOMT educates, empowers, and inspires dental professionals to elevate their identities as oral wellness practitioners who powerfully impact the lives and health of their patients. A proponent of incorporating the latest scientific research into practical clinical protocols, Kathryn excels in coaching dental professionals to elevate their standard of care with proven strategies for optimal patient outcomes. Kathryn’s interest in the medical side of dentistry led her to advanced study into oral-systemic connections. She is a two-time graduate of the Bale Doneen Preceptorship for cardiovascular disease prevention for healthcare practitioners and an active member of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. An honors graduate from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Kathryn has been on the front lines of early detection of oral cancer throughout her 30+ year career. Kathryn is passionate about influencing every hygienist with whom she works to elevate their standard of care and their standard of caring. A published writer, consultant, international speaker, and practicing oral wellness hygienist, Kathryn founded two coaching companies, Empowered Hygiene and PerioLinks, before receiving the honor of joining the Inspired Hygiene team as a Lead Clinical Coach.
