According to the Council for Disability Awareness, more than one in four 20-year-olds can expect to be out of work for at least a year because of a disabling condition before they reach retirement. The most common reason for long-term disability claims is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). MSDs are the single largest category of workplace injuries and responsible for approximately 30% of worker’s compensation costs. An unforeseen event, illness, injury, or MSD can prohibit the dental professional from physically being able to work or continue with their full schedule. Dental professionals have an investment in their family, education, and career. A proactive approach helps protect these investments. Join Susan to discuss this important topic.
