Learning Objectives:

  • Customized Approach to Biofilm Management: Apply individualized homecare strategies using a teach-back method for effective mechanical biofilm removal.
  • Pragmatic Approach to Behavior Change: Implement a patient-centered prevention protocol chairside, grounded in current evidence, and focused on long-term success.
  • Preventive Approach Integrates Sustainability: Recognize and integrate sustainable practices in dental care, including product choices that support environmental responsibility.

Prevention Compass™ Fundamentals Seminar, designed specifically for dental professionals seeking to elevate their approach to preventive care. This workshop provides sustainable, patient-centered strategies that can be adapted to a variety of patient needs—including those with implants, orthodontics, periodontal conditions, and general oral health concerns. Attendees will receive a curated selection of TePe dental products to support their clinical implementation.

Behavior is complex and the many theories and models for behavior change often have similar concepts, so digesting it into everyday use may seem daunting. By exploring an evidence-based, 7-step protocol that includes 12 behavioral change models, digital tools, and neuroscience, attendees can strategically implement a preventive approach into current workflow during continuing care appointments.

In addition, we’ll delve into the principles of sustainability in dental practice—from product selection to office protocols—highlighting how preventive care contributes to a healthier future for patients and the planet.
