  • Understand what eosinophilic esophagitis is.
  • Recognize the symptoms of eosinophilic esophagitis.
  • Define what an eosinophil is.
  • Describe what conditions can increase a patient’s risk of eosinophilic esophagitis.
  • Explain to whom to refer a patient who is experiencing eosinophilic esophagitis symptoms.

Additionally, this presentation will recommend at-home solutions to help patients experiencing mild symptoms of EOE. Finally, the course will walk through a case study of a patient who had EOE for years and was not diagnosed until they had to be hospitalized due to their EOE. Their life-altering case will shed light on several medical providers who missed all the signs of EOE and had the opportunity to recognize it early.
