Speaker Bio
Irene is a Canadian RRDH and entrepreneur who blends a passion for patient care with a love for systemization. With a background spanning Pediatrics, Orthodontics, and Periodontics, she’s brought all those experiences together in her Toronto start-up, Toothlife Studio, a space that reflects creativity, community, and clinical excellence. Beyond running her independent dental hygiene practice, she’s an international speaker, key opinion leader, co-host of the Tooth or Dare podcast, and the creator behind the @toothlife.irene name on social platforms. What began as a way to share knowledge has grown into a vibrant community of clinicians eager to learn, connect, and grow together. Her dedication to advancing the profession has led to roles as a Clinical & Theoretical Instructor at Oxford College, past Quality Assurance and Peer Mentor for the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, Item Writer for the Canadian National Dental Hygiene Boards, and currently, a member of the Independent Dental Hygiene Practice Advisory Committee, championing the growth of dental hygiene-owned practices. Always curious and committed to learning, she has completed Harvard Medical School’s HMX program in genetics and immunology, applying that knowledge to oral health regularly. She graduated with honours from George Brown College’s Restorative Program in 2021, expanding her scope to include restorative dentistry in her clinical practice.
