Smoking and the traditional routes of nicotine delivery have been in place for centuries. Recently the commercial nicotine landscape has undergone a rapid high-tech transformation.
A new generation of engineered nicotine products has entered the market, designed to increase dependence. From discreet vaporizers to pH-modified synthetic nicotine pouches, patients now use products with nicotine levels that are higher than ever. This webinar will help RDHs understand these products, recognize their oral and systemic health effects, and apply updated treatment strategies.
These powerful nicotine products are often promoted as a form of “harm reduction” compared with combustible tobacco and traditional smokeless products. In reality, many younger patients are not just experimenting with nicotine-they are becoming strongly addicted. This course will prepare the RDH for the upcoming generation of engineered nicotine addiction.
