NEW FOR 2010 - Dental Impact Community Action Training Session & Hands-On Workshop

Learn how to Make an Impact! During RDH Under One Roof in August 2010, dental hygienists will have the opportunity to learn first hand how to organize and initiate public health projects in their communities to make an impact. The focus for this year’s project will be the understanding of dental disease and preventive measures. A ½ day seminar will include how to organize a community action project, how to work with your local organizations to research community needs, how to write grant applications, mobilize community partnerships and campaign for change. In the afternoon, the program will “hit the street” and go into the Orlando community for attendees to participate first hand in various community action projects and see how it is done.

Click here for more information on Dental Impact.

Attendees will receive:
  • 6 CE Credits
  • A detailed workbook and materials necessary to organize a community project
  • Lunch
  • Dental Impact Volunteer T-shirt
  • Round trip transportation to offsite community projects

Fee:  $145
Note:  Attendees may choose to register for this one day event independently of RDH Under One Roof 2010

First Timer Meet and Greet Orientation - Is this your first time at RDH Under One Roof? If so, we invite you to join us at this orientation to get better acquainted with the UOR staff and some attendees who have been spending a long weekend out of each summer with us since, well, the beginning in Denver (2001). We’ll show you how UOR works, which is a little different than many meetings since we’re just about dental hygiene. You are the star attendee, not your employer or other staff members, so we want you to get the most out of it. If you are an UOR alumnus, we also invite you to this orientation, because we believe you would be the best mentor to a newcomer at RDH Under One Roof. Come join us for some ice-breakers and start the conference off right.
