This course is for everyone, whether you currently practice in a Dental Support Organization (DSO) or might one day. It aims to answer all of your questions, allay your concerns, and hopefully brighten your outlook on DSOs. In our changing landscape, we have more opportunity than ever to make our career what we want them to be. We can climb the corporate ladder, find dental-adjacent jobs, or work as we traditionally have. DSOs are gaining popularity and can offer many more options to the everyday dental hygienist. This course has 3 components: An overview of what DSOs are and what they are not, different models that you might encounter, career opportunities, and so much more. The next component is a panel discussion from dental hygiene leaders who will answer questions and clarify their experience and expectations working at a DSO. Finally, we open the floor to the audience. Using Poll Everywhere, we allow the audience to remain anonymous and ask the questions as they come to their mind throughout the entire course. No question is off limits so please come with a curious mind!
